What is pre production?
All the elements and planning that is
carried out before production

What is the difference between research and
planning?
Research is looking at examples and finding
specific things out whereas planning is deciding what process you’re going to
carry out

What is a documentary?
A factual video with the aim to inform. It
is non fictional

What is a news programme?
A programme with the aim to inform. It is
based on real life stories. Can include interviews

What is a soap opera?
A TV programme, which is based on social
realism and often occurs numerous times a week. It is a continuous story line

What is a film?
An extended series of fictional events

What is a music video?
A short video, which is based on a song and
is played behind the music

For this powerpoint, the aim was to understand the difference between a location and a setting. I then had to give examples of a location with a particular setting and give the possible risks of filming in those places. Then, I had to think of a suitable location and setting for a genre of a film or music video.
